YS Jagan defends allocation of lands by his dad

YSR Congress President and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy against whom the CBI filed charge sheet in the disproportinate assets case, today defended his father and Former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy saying the latter allocated lands to establish industries for generating employment. Addressing a public meeting at Gorantla Village in the district, he justified allocation of lands for the establishment of industries by Mr Rajasekhara Reddy to generate huge employment opportunities in the backward districts, including Mehaboob Nagar and Medak. Mr Jaganmohan Reddy,in his ‘questionnaire’ to the CBI, asked why the CBI did not see the alleged allocation of hundreds of acre lands to several individuals and firms by Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during the TDP regime.

He pointed out during the TDP regime 535 acres of land was allocated to Emaar Properties, 830 acres to IMG, 110 acres to Raheja and 110 acres to L and T.

He asked the CBI why it did not inquire these scams that took place during TDP regime. Mr Jagan, alleged Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy allocated hundreds of acres of land to a cement factory for a cheap Rs one lakh per acre and in his questionnaire, he asked the CBI why it did not consider it as corruption. The CBI, in its charge sheet, named Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as accused number one stating he amassed huge wealth by nefarious means with his father Rajasekhara Reddy allocating large tracts of land during his tenure as Chief Minister.
