Hyderabad: Was conducting “Police Action” on Hyderabad in 1948 right? On this topic, Muslim Shibban organized a public meeting on Sunday, 17th September at its office located at Azampura. President of the organization, Mr. Mohammed Mushtaq Malik presided over the meeting.
Dr. Islamuddin Mujahid, Mr. Barkat Ali Khan, Mr. Salahuddin Parveez and Mr. Raheemullah Khan Niyazi addressed the meeting.
In his presidential address, Mr. Mushtaq Malik told in the name of cow, personal law and other matters, the Muslim community is being targeted but nobody dares enough to raise his voice. To celebrate Telangana Liberation Day depicts the fascist mentality of communal elements. The fact is that the Nizam of Hyderabad merged the State into the Indian Union with his consent. No historian talked about the atrocities of Nizam. The Nizam of Hyderabad had declared that the Hindus and the Muslims are his two eyes. There was a pact between the Indian Union and Hyderabad State but Govt. of India attacked Hyderabad violating this pact. In this attack, many Muslims were killed and their properties were looted.

Dr. Islamuddin Mujahid told that if a realistic view of history is taken, the younger generation could be saved from confusion. There is no authentic documentary evidence available on the merger of Hyderabad into the Indian Union. The Nizam of Hyderabad was a secular ruler but why was police action conducted is a question to be probed. Before police action, Hyderabad State was an independent province which consisted of only 13% Muslims whereas the majority of the population consisted of the Hindus and other religious minorities. The majority community did not feel that they are the subjects of a Muslim ruler.
In the name of teaching a lesson to Razakars, Muslims were killed from 13th to 17th September 1948. Certain forces are manipulating history. There is a need to present the real history.
