A local court today granted bail to producer Bandla Ganesh and an event manager in connection with the death of a youth at a music release function of upcoming Telugu film ‘Baadshah’, starring Junior NTR, here on Sunday. The producer and the event manager Vijay Kumar were granted bail by the court of the 8th Metropolitan Magistrate after they surrendered before it in connection with the death of the youth identified only as Raju, who hailed from Warangal, at the audio release function. The incident occurred on Sunday evening when scores of people, standing in a queue to gain entry in the studio at Nanakramguda here tried to rush their way in. Raju was allegedly trampled by the crowd. Both Ganesh and Kumar were booked by Raidurgam police for causing death by negligence. “The court initially remanded them in 14-day judicial custody but later released them on two separate sureties of Rs 5,000 each as the charges against them are bailable,” said Assistant Public Prosecutor Rajkumar. The case was posted to next hearing on April 1. The organisers had earlier claimed that the youth died of some breathing-related problems. ‘Baadshah’ starring Jr NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, is slated for April 5 release. PTI
