Hyderabad, June 20: Four youths, who were travelling at high speed in a car soon after the convoy of Chief Minister K. Rosaiah passed by, were slapped with a traffic rule violation case on Saturday at Banjara Hills.
A toy pistol found with one of them, Guptha, triggered off rumours initially about their identity, but the police later confirmed that the youngsters were students and had no malafide intention.
The Chief Minister called on a person ailing in Star Hospital at Banjara Hills and left in the evening, the Banjara Hills Inspector, K. Sudarshan, said.
Traffic stopped
Traffic on all connected routes was stopped for a while. The car in which Guptha, a B.Com. student, and three of his friends pursuing engineering programme, were travelling came on to the main road from Rainbow Hospital and tried to speed towards Banjara Hills when the SI stopped it.
While checking the vehicle, Guptha was found possessing a toy pistol.
They were detained and brought to police station for questioning.
A traffic rule violation case was registered against them, the police said.
