Patna, March 20: Three youths tried to disrobe a woman teacher on a busy street here and police, in perhaps the first incident of its kind, have submitted a chargesheet against them in court.
The incident took place on busy Budh Marg when the youths, riding a vehicle, tried to disrobe the woman in front of the intermediate council office where she had gone to collect a cheque on Thursday, senior superintendent of police Vinit Vinayak said today.
“The accused have been chargesheeted in record time yesterday. We will also urge the court to conduct trial of the case on priority,” he said.
Earlier, the SSP had asked the investigating officer to complete the probe into the incident within 24 hours and submit the chargesheet against the accused in court. The youths were arrested and identified as residents of Aurangabad.
