Hyderabad, September 14: “Every person must have a goal. God has sent every person to earth with a purpose,” said CA Suresh, district governor Rotary International, adding he said: “we all should strive to achieve this goal”.
Speaking at a seminar on ‘Career options with professional qualifications’, Suresh called on the younger generation to pick a goal first and work assiduously towards achieving it. President of Company Secretaries of India, Datla Hamunatha Raju said that the role of a company secretary in an organisation had become vital these days. CAs were major decision makers, he said. He called upon youngsters to take to this profession and thereby take part in national building.
Explaining the role of a Charted Account in modern era, Sudhir Babu, central council member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, said without the help of a CA, no organisation would be able to submit its annual report to the Income Tax Department. He further said that even a CA who is a CFO
(Chief Financial Officer) has powers equal to the MD.
The experts present on the occasion spoke about career opportunities in Cost Accounting.
President, S Gajendhra, Secretary MS Raghava, Director-Service Projects, Naina Desai of Rotary Club Secunderabad West also spoke on the occasion and SV Suryanarayana presided over the seminar. Hundreds of commerce graduates from various city colleges attended the seminar.
