Youth taken into custody for offering prayer near temple in Tirupati

Hyderabad: A Muslim trader belonging to Kolkata, West Bengal was arrested by the police in Tirupati, the city of temples, when he was offering prayer at a short distance from a temple.

The man has been identified as Abu Hamza (25). He donned kurta-pyjama and was wearing beard. After taking into custody his hand bag and other documents were searched.

According to the information received by the police Abu Hamza is said to be a cloth merchant. He was visiting Tirupati in connection with his business where he was offering prayer under the shadow of a wall. People present there, including women, informed the priest of the temple who went outside and informed the police declaring the man to be suspect.

On receipt of information a team of police reached the spot and took the man into custody. His hand bag, clothes, train and bus tickets and other belongings were seized. Investigations are underway. During primary investigations, police discovered that the said youth had visited Bangladesh hence the case is being investigated with various aspects.
