A 24-year-old youth was stabbed to death by some unidentified persons at his shop in Mirchowk police limits.
The victim, Javeed, was attacked by two unidentified assailants at his printing press shop in busy Chattabazar Market in the Old City area on Wednesday morning. The assailants fled from the spot after inflicting grievous stab injuries to Javeed. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he succumbed a few hours after admission.
Javeed was a resident of Chandranagar area of Yakutpura.
His brother Rafeeq told the police that Javeed borrowed Rs 1 lakh from one person, who also owns a printing press shop in Chattabazar. Although Javeed returned half the amount, he was being pressurised to return the remaining amount. He suspected that the same persons could be behind the murder.
Mirchowk police began investigation after registering a case of murder. (INN)
