New Delhi, July 26:A 32-year-old man was murdered in outer Delhi allegedly by his brother who was having an illicit relationship with the victim’s wife, police said today.
Chunbuda (26), who hails from Chitrakoot in UP, was apprehended soon after the murder of his brother Devi Dayal at an under-construction building in Bawana, B S Jaiswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer), said.
The younger brother had initially told the police that some unidentified persons murdered Dayal when they were sleeping along with other labours in the under-construction factory.
However, Dayal’s uncle Ramsanjiwan, who is also working as a labourer told investigators that the brothers used to quarrel over Chunbuda’s alleged illicit relation with the wife of the deceased.
“The uncle told us that this could be a reason for murder. During questioning, Chunbuda confessed that he is in love with Prema, the wife of Dayal, and they were in a relationship for about eight years. Dayal had recently threatened to kill Chunbuda if he would not break the
relations with his wife,” Jaiswal said.
Chunbuda, who is married and having two daughters, arrived in Delhi about five years ago and since then has been working as a labourer in Bawana.
