A young patient admitted to the TB ward of Burdwan Medical College and Hospital here has allegdly gone missing since March 12, according to an FIR filed by his family today.
Soumen Bagh , a second year college student of Memari area of Burdwan district, had been admitted to the ward on
March 11 and his father Santosh was at the hospital for most of the time.
The 20 year-old youth went missing the next day evening when his father went out to buy food.
According to a complaint filed by the father with the hospital authorities the sister-in-charge had told him that
the youth had returned home but he was unable to trace him either at the hospital or at the station, to where he had
dashed.
Later, when he returned to the hsopital he was told that the police had been informed of his son’s disappearance,
the father said.
Hospital deputy superintendent Tapas Kumar Ghosh said he had come to know of the incident after he was informed by
the police.
