Jaipur: Amid celebrations of Makar Sankranti, a teenage boy was killed and 46 others, mostly children, were injured today in kite flying-related accidents here, an official said.
17-year-old Tilak Raj, living in Moti Nagar, fell down from a rooftop, and his friends brought him to a hospital, while his parents were contacted later, SMS Trauma Hospital’s in-charge told PTI, adding, he was brought dead there.
Among the injured, nine were admitted to various wards including orthopaedic, neuro-surgery, and trauma, and the rest were discharged after administering first-aid, the in-charge said.
Besides SMS Trauma Hospital, several persons getting injurd in kite flying-related accidents were also reported, though the exact number of patients is yet to be totalled.
Yesterday, at least 80 people, mostly children, were injured in kite-flying related accidents in the state capital.
Thirteen injured persons, including two women, were admitted to various wards including orthopaedic in the hospital.
