Nearly 300 activists of Telangana Youth Congress were arrested by the police for staging protest near State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.
Led by Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav, the activists raised slogans against TRS Government and demanded resignation of Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy for his failure to address the problems of farmers. Speaking to media persons, Anil Kumar Yadav said that the ministers or ruling party MLAs did not meet any of families of nearly 1500 farmers who committed suicide. He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was conducting the Assembly like TRS Legislature Party meeting by ensuring suspension of entire opposition.
The arrested Youth Congress activists were shifted to Panjagutta, Nampally and Gosha Mahal police stations and were later let off. (INN)
