A youth belonging to Kadapa district here on Friday attempted to commit suicide by gulping pesticide at the main gate of the Raj Bhavan here.
The irate youth, identified as Pavan Kumar, attempted suicide as the security personnel at the main gate of the Raj Bhavan refused to allow him to go inside to see the Governor. It is learnt that the Kadapa youth came to Hyderabad to apprise Governor ESL Narasimhan of the harassment he was facing from the local circle inspector.
On reaching the Raj Bhavan to meet the Governor, the security staff bluntly not allowed him inside the Raj Bhavan. Dejected with the attitude of the security guards, the youth, who was carrying pesticide along with him, consumed it. However, the alert security personnel prevented his attempt and rushed him to a hospital. (NSS)
