New Delhi: A youth and a juvenile who allegedly robbed five persons at knife point and stabbed one of them at northwest Delhi’s Ashok Vihar area, have been arrested, police said today.
The youth has been identified as Arun, who along with the juvenile went on a robbery spree last evening and successfully robbed five mobile phones from five different targets, and about Rs 3000 in cash in a span of 90 minutes, DCP (Northwest) Vijay Singh said.
The first complaint was received at about 9.15 PM in which a man reported that two youths had robbed him of mobile and cash near a park. It was the third call which threw cops into a tizzy and a team was rushed to the post, but by the time the team could understand the situation, two more cases were reported, an official said.
The fifth victim, who was also stabbed by the duo, insisted on helping the cops as he had seen them run in a particular direction and said he could identify them. It was with his help that the duo was apprehended, police added.
