Youngsters should be educated through Urdu Medium- Shukoor

(Siasat News)Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy told that Urdu newspapers face a lot of difficulties. He said that he is aware of the problems faced by small newspapers.

He told that nearly 300 Urdu daily newspapers are published from Hyderabad. He applauded the efforts of Mr. Meer Hadi Ali for publishing his Urdu Weekly “Bemisaal” for the past 20 years. He told that nearly one lakh students are studying in Urdu medium schools but their strength is dwindling. More than 40 thousand students take Urdu examinations conducted by Idara-e-Adabiyath-e-Urdu. Today, very few people are taking admissions in Urdu Medium schools. He told that it is the duty of the parents to get their children admitted in Urdu medium schools.

He told that all the schemes of Urdu Academy were abandoned since 2008, but in a span of two months, these schemes have been revoked.

Dr. Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of A.P. State Minorities Finance Corporation congratulated Mr. Meer Hadi Ali for publishing his weekly for the past 20 years. He advised the editors of Urdu newspapers to highlight more and more public issues.

Hafiz Peer Shabbeer Ahmed, MLC in his speech told that the contribution of the Muslim Ulema is very considerable. Today, it became very necessary to organize seminars and symposiums on national integration.

Mr. Khaja Khaleelullah, former Chairman, HUDA released the latest issue of “Bemisaal” Urdu weekly. He said that if one wants to see national integration and development of Urdu Language and literature in the month of Ramzan, he should visit Hyderabad.

Mr. Meer Hadi Ali, Chief Editor,”Bemisaal” Urdu Weekly, in his speech assured that his paper would continue to struggle for the cause of Minorities.

The meeting was attended by Mr. F.S.Laiq Ali, Mr. Yousuf Hashmi, Maulana Syed Ali Naqui, Mr. Firasath Ali Baqueri, Maulana Syed Dildar Husain Abedi, Qari S.M. Khan, Mr. Abdul Azeem Mumtaz, Mr. Shoukat Saleem and many others.

Qari S.M. Khan recited the Quranic verses.

Ms. Shameem, leader of Mahila Congress, Guntur proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the meeting.
