Young Talent Riyadh paid rich tribute to Singer Mohammed Rafi

Young Talents Riyadh paid rich tribute to Singer Late Mohammed Rafi celebrating his 89 birthday at Riyadh this weekend. Mohammed Rafi was the greatest Indian singer of Bollywood, his singing career spanned about 35 years in his lifetime. He received many awards, like Padmashri by Govt. of India, two National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards and numerous others.

Mirza Omar Baig, Syed Sayeed, Mohammed Moin, Mohammed Asif Ali, Syed Sajeed Jaleel and Majeed Ali local singers from Riyadh enthralled the audience with various hit numbers of Rafi sahib like, Ehsaan Mera Dil Pe Tumhara hai Doston – Ghaban, Chalo Re Doli Uthao from Jaani Dushman, Diwane hain Diwanon ko na -Zanjeer, Chalkaye Jaam aap ke – Mere Hamdam Mere Dost, O Duniya ke Rakhwale – Baiju Bawara, Bane Chahe Dushman Zamana Hamara – Dostana, Main Kahin Kavi Na Ban Jaoon – Pyar Hi Pyar, Baar Baar Din yeh Aaye (Happy Birthday to you) – Farz and others.

Mohammed Ghouse Khan (PASHA) troupe Manger welcomed the guests and said that Young Talents Riyadh is a good platform to exhibit singing abilities, and imparts training to new comers.

Dr. Mohammed Ashraf Ali, Chief Guest in this function said Late Mohammed Rafi had the ability to sing the songs from different moods and varieties ranging from classical numbers to patriotic songs, romantic songs. He added that after 33 years of demise his songs are everlasting. Dr. Sayeed Mohiuddin was the guest of honor of this function, Mirza Omar Baig proposed the vote of thanks.
