New Delhi, May 03: A 23-year-old man who suffered burns from a stove died here. Police said Tuesday they were investigating whether the death was caused by the negligence of doctors who attended to him.
Rakesh Kumar, 23, suffered serious burns from a stove Monday night when he went to make tea for his ailing mother at his house in Uttam nagar in west Delhi.
He was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital around 1.30 a.m., an investigating officer said Tuesday.
According to police Kumar was discharged from the hospital Tuesday 6.30 a.m.
He started vomiting after reaching home and was again taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead, the police official added.
“It seems that he was released very early from the hospital,” the official said.
The police are investigating into the matter, he added.
