You get what you deserve: Vivek Oberoi

Mumbai, August 27: “Since the age of four, I wanted to act because I enjoyed it from my heart. When I started living my dream, unfortunately I lost the passion for it as I was foolishly concentrating on things which did not matter. I’m happy that I have got my drive back and I’m a completely new man who’s really hungry now,” Vivek Oberoi saya exuberantly as he claimed to have sorted out all the differences he has had with many people in the industry.

He has three big films — Qurbaan by Karan Johar, Rakta Charitra by Ram Gopal Varma and Prince by Kumar Taurani. And hes no longer worried about the mess he had created by getting into fights and controversies. For him the chapters are closed. “I have forgiven and forgotten. I have apologised even in public (referring to Salman over the Aishwarya press conference incident) and I’m not expecting forgiveness from him.”

Always considered to be a good actor by the reviewers, Vivek has shown promise in many movies like Omkara, Yuva, Saathiya, Road and Company but unfortunately his career never really took off. Vivek went on to earn the crown of the most controversial film personality whose actions were always branded negatively.

“What you deserve is what you get. When you take things so casually, you are bound to fall. But I have learnt it the hard way and faced my demons. I’ve come out of it as a reformed man full of positive energy,” Vivek told DNA on the sidelines of MTV Stunt Mania promotions.

He adds, “There was a time when the charity I did with my heart for many years was looked at like I’m doing it for publicity. But I guess people have understood me and realised that publicity stunts cannot be carried on for more than six years.”
