Yogi slams Oppn for creating ruckus in assembly

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the ruckus created by the Samajwadi Party-led Opposition during the Governor’s address in the state assembly on Thursday.

“The Governor’s arrival is an accomplishment of any Legislature, but the way the leaders of Opposition have behaved is rude, unethical, un parliamentary, and vulgar, and is condemnable,” Aditynath told press here.

“Paper balls were thrown at the Governor, balloons were bounced, and vulgar and un parliamentary language was used for Governor Ram Naik by the members of Samjwadi Party in the presence of its leaders,” he added.

The Chief Minister further termed the Opposition’s behavior as an attempt to suppress the voices of the backward sections of the society and an attack on the democracy.

Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Assembly’s budget session began on a sour note as the Opposition members targeted Naik with paper balls and balloons, and hurled abusive slogans while he was addressing the joint sitting of the state legislature. (ANI)
