Yogi Adityanath flags off motor car rally in Lucknow

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday flagged off a motor car rally here. The aim behind launching the motor rally was to spread awareness regarding road safety in the region.

Rally will travel through places historically associated with the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, in India, as well as in Bangladesh and Myanmar creating awareness on road safety.

Despite India having the second largest road network across the world, over 1.3 million deaths have taken place in road accidents in the last decade because of the lack of comprehensive road safety legislation.

Apart from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Rajasthan government has also introduced a mobile application named ‘Hamsafar’ which aims to reduce the casualties by 2020.

Nagaland too has come forward on the same and has launched various Road Safety Awareness Campa across the state.
