London, April 24: Police have arrested one more person in connection with the murder of Indian-origin Geeta Aulakh, a radio station receptionist, who was left dying in the north-west London with one of her hands cut off last year.
The 20-year-old man, yet to be identified, was arrested in Slough, West London, and he is currently in custody at a west London police station, the Metropolitan Police said today.
In November, 18-year-old Sher Singh of Wren Avenue, Southall, was charged with the murder of Geeta Aulakh. Her husband Harpreet Singh Aulakh, 31, was also charged with the murder of his wife.
28-year-old Geeta Aulakh, a mother-of-two, was found fatally injured by a passer-by in Greenford on the evening of November 18.
Investigators believe Aulakh was attacked shortly after leaving work at Sunrise Radio to pick up her two young children.
She was found a short distance from the front door of her childminder, who looked after the boys, aged eight and nine.
Witnesses said she had serious head injuries and one of her hands had been cut off.
She was taken to Charing Cross Hospital, but was pronounced dead just over four hours later.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as severe head injury.
