Tirupati, December 26: ‘I am a Hyderabadi and I’m also Rayalaseema man. Have you any objection to it?’ was how chief minister N Kirankumar Reddy silenced a journalist who sought his explanation on claiming to be a Hyderabadi and the people of Rayalaseema being miffed over his remark.
During a media interaction in his native Kalikiri village today, Kiran said that he was born and brought up in Hyderabad and was, by virtue of it, a Hyderabadi. He belongs to a family hailing from the land of Rayalaseema and his family has been representing the people here since 1962, making him a Rayalaseema man.
“If not for your support and love, I would not be what I am today. I am eternally grateful to you,” he said.
