Yemen summons ambassador after accusing Qatar of intervention

Sana’a, April 09: Yemeni Foreign Ministry has summoned the ambassador to Qatar for consultations.

A ministry statement released on Saturday said the diplomat’s summon was in response to remarks made by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Jabr Al-Thani, two days ago, related to Gulf efforts for holding conciliation talks among the Yemeni political parties.

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, addressing a rally on Friday, accused Qatar of intervening in domestic affairs of his country.
