Yemen conflict: 149 killed in 24 hours in Hodeidah

Sanaa: In fresh clashes between security forces and Houthis in Hodeidah city of Yemen 149 people have been killed. An Indian Urdu newspaper with reference to hospital sources reported, 110 Houthi and 32 military men have been killed during 24 hours.

A Saudi-led coalition airstrike hit the quay of Yemen’s Hodeidah harbour on Monday evening.

Hodeidah is the key port of 90 per cent of food imports and aid for millions of Yemenis living in the northern cities, which are under Houthi control.

Saudi Arabia is leading the Arab military coalition that intervened in Yemen in March 2015 to support the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi after the Houthi rebels forced him into exile.
