Yellandu Municipal Chairman M. Rama and more than 20 councillors of different political parties of Khammam district called on Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at his camp office on Thursday and expressed their desire to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
The Chief Minister has reportedly agreed to induct them into the party and they would officially join the TRS on 28th November. The councillors were accompanied with Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao, MLA Kanakaiah, former MLA Balaswamy and other leaders of Khammam district.
Speaking to media persons later, the Municipal Chairman said that the councillors have decided to join the TRS in view of great performance of KCR in developing the Telangana State. (INN)
