Bangalore/Mysore, November 10: Fulfilling another condition of the truce deal with dissidents, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today rescinded the transfer of some IAS and IPS officials considered close to mining magnate Reddy brothers of Bellary who had revolted against him.
However, Yeddyurappa asserted money and muscle power could not cow him down even as he came under attack for ‘yielding’ to Reddy brothers.
The transfers of the officials were effected by Yeddyurappa in the third step towards building bridges with influential Reddy brothers after shunting out V P Baligar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and making his confidante Shobha Karandlaje resign from the Ministry as part of the compromise formula worked out with the rebels.
The party’s central leadership had brought about a truce with Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy and Revenue Minister G Karunakara Reddy who had led a campaign for Yeddyurappa’s removal.
