It is sad state of affairs of our country that the hands that should hold the books are seen holding tea cups at hotels and plastic rubbish at garbage bins. These are the children who also dream to achieve higher education, to become successful men when they grow up and to lead a respectful life in the society.
You can see in this picture an innocent child, who is engrossed in reading a book thrown in the garbage bin at Karwan, unmindful of the surroundings; as if it was not garbage pile but a classroom. Notwithstanding the curfew-like situation in Karwan the child got busy in reading the book as he reached there to collect bottles, polythene packets, paper and scrap iron from the garbage pile.
The child at the garbage pile, who should have been in the school classroom, proves the lofty claims of the central and state governments false. This shows that the various schemes introduced by the government have not proved fairly beneficial in quenching the thirst of learning for this innocent child and many more like him.
