Barcelona player Lionel Messi should quit his club in January and seal a move to Manchester City, according to Yaya Toure.
According to Metro.co.uk, the City midfielder, who earlier played with Messi at the Nou Camp, has joined Sergio Aguero in asking the Argentine ace to swap teams.
Messi has been linked with City increasingly in recent weeks, after Pablo Zabaleta revealed that he regularly asks about what life is like at the Etihad Stadium, the report said.
The Footballer of the Year has also been involved in a public row with the Barca board in recent days, which has ignited speculation about a move away, the report said.
City are one of only a few European clubs who would be able to afford Messi, who’s release clause is set at over 150 million pounds, the report added. (ANI)
