Hyderabad, January 18: In its fifth year, fashion yatra has moved on to offer more evolved podium and the style of presentation. This is basically to promote latest trends and products in the fashion as well as home segment.
It is a one-of-its- kind, high end exhibition, where the master brands, na- tional and international, show- case and sell their products. Amongst the designers are Shantanu & Nikhil, Anita Dongre, Gaurav Gupta, Bian, Zubair Kirmani, Geisha Designs, Siddharth Tytler, Leena Ashima, Kallol Dutta, Marg, Krsala-House of TBZ. Amongst the international brands, there are Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Escada, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alberta Ferretti, Salvatore Ferragamo.
“It is essentially an exhibition of sorts. The moot agenda being facilitating business as well as undertaking philanthropic gestures,” explained Kamini, founder of Fashion Yatra, who keeps adding one city every year to the event- that makes Fashion Yatra four years old.
The yatra started in Hyderabad and after it was a huge hit there, the organisers added Chennai to the list and this year they have added Jaipur and Kolkata.
The categories on display are broadly categorised into the best of fashion, accessories, jewellery and home with an assurance to children that they too will not return disappointed.
“People start shopping before festivals and weddings. Hence this time of the year is perfect for our exhibition. We promote young designers and they get a platform to showcase their talent,” Saraf said.
