Panaji, November 15: Veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra will inaugurate the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2010 on November 22 here, a senior official said today.
IFFI director S M Khan told reporters that Chopra will inaugurate the festival along with other film personalities.
He said the opening and closing ceremonies of the film festival will have a group of film stars felicitated for their contribution to Indian cinema.
D P Reddy, Joint secretary (Films) Information and Broadcasting Ministry, was also present for the briefing along with Manoj Srivastava, Chief Executive officer of Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), a co-host for the event.
During the 10-day festival, scheduled from November 23 to December 3, around 70-80 films will be screened in the Cinema of the World Section, he said.
