Yanamala sees Congress-YSRCP match-fixing

TDP politburo member and Leader of the Opposition in the Council Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today alleged that the itinerary of YSR Congress Party leaders in Delhi was planned and being orchestrated from the No. 10 Janpath.
In a press statement from TDP headquarters here on Wednesday, Ramakrishnudu alleged that the Congress leaders, on the direction of party supremo Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, were orchestrating the activities of YSRCP leaders in the national capital. Right from calling the YSRCP “troupe” to Delhi and staging a dharna at Jantar Mantar, interviews with Prime Minister and President and all other activities were being supervised by the national Congress leaders, he alleged, adding that hunger strikes by Vijayamma in Guntur and Jaganmohan Reddy’s fast in Chanchalguda Jail and dharnas by its legislators in their Assembly segments were all masterminded by the Congress high priests.
Yanamala pointed out that while the YSRCP leaders claimed that they argued for equal justice before the Prime Minister and President in Delhi, the same leaders were cheating the people of the Seemandhra region by saying that they were committed to Samaikyandhra. The YSRCP leaders said one thing in Delhi, party’s mouthpiece “Saakshi” writes something else and its TV channel shows altogether different thing, he stated and alleged that 10 Janpath was using the YSRCP leaders as puppets and making them to plead for equal justice in Delhi and chant Samaikyandhra in the State.
The TDP leader pointed out that in their memorandums to the Prime Minister and President of India, the YSRCP leaders did not mention that they were opposed to State bifurcation. He also pointed out that the YSRCP leaders did not demand that the Centre take back its decision on Telangana. They clearly stated in their letters that the Centre divide the State only after settling “certain issues”.
Alleging that the YSRCP leaders knew about CWC decision before hand, Yanamala questioned the former as to why they did not state that they were in favour of united State as against their campaign during public meetings and statements in the party paper Saakshi for public consumption. Mentioning an excerpt from their letter, “Praying for holding the proposal for division of Andhra Pradesh till a large number of issues that concern the people of Andhra region are amicably resolved until the people of that region are satisfied”, Yanamala asked whether it does not mean that they are in favour of bifurcation?
The TDP leader stated that YSRCP leaders did mention about State bifurcation in their two letters to the Congress high command and requested the Centre to take a decision on Telangana issue as per Article 3 of the Constitution. Quoting another excerpt in the YSRCP letter, “The power to create new States is vested with Central government and Parliament under Article 3, the Government of India should take a proper decision ensuring that justice is done to people of both regions”, the TDP leader asked whether its letter was not in favour of division of the State.
Ramakrishnudu pointed out that the YSRCP mentioned about all issues but did not state that the State should not be divided. The summary of the letters was “Divide the State, but render justice to all,” he added. Though YS Vijayalakshmi clearly stated that undertrial prisoner Jaganmohan Reddy was observing fast in the Chanchalguda Jail, why the PM failed to tell them that fast in the jail was illegal and why he had not directed the State government to initiate action against Jagan as per Jail Manual, he asked. All these things, clearly prove that the Congress High Command was behind Jagan’s hunger strike in the Jail and match-fixing between the two parties. (NSS)
