TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today expressed happiness over the results of local body elections in which his party bagged 62 out of 92 municipalities.
The TDP workers celebrated party’s victory at NTR bhavan after declaration of results.
Speaking to the media, Yanamala expressed hope that it will (results) repeat in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. TDP is going ahead in the municipal results winning majority of seats. The YSRCP won Kadapa and Nellore corporations while TDP won Rajahmundry, Chittoor, Anantapur, Vijayawada and Eluru corporations.
In the Telangana region also, the party did well. As per the results declared so far, Congress bagged 22, TRS 11, TDP 4, BJP 2 and MIM 1. Karimnagar Corporation was won by TRS, Nizamabad and Ramagundam Corporation were bagged by Congress. (NSS)
