Yanamala clarifies on removal of YSR photo in Assembly

AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today clarified that there was no tradition to keep photos of former chief ministers on the Assembly premises.

Yanamala was responding to a letter written by YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao requesting them to keep photo of late YSR in the Assembly lounge which was earlier removed.

It may be mentioned here that a photo of former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was kept on the Assembly premises against rules. How can a photo of former chief minister be kept where photo of the Speaker should be there. He clarified there was no tradition to keep photo of former chief ministers on the Assembly premises. Yanamala, however, said the matter of removing photos comes under the jurisdiction of the Speaker and the government has nothing to do with it. He advised Jagan not to give political color to the issue as he has a habit of politicizing every issue. (NSS)
