New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a curative petition by 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts convict Yakub Abdul Razak Memon, and he will now be executed in the Nagpur Central Jailon July 30.
“Yakub could be hanged in the Nagpur jail or in Pune’s Yerwada jail,” said Nagpur Jail superintendent Yogesh Desai.
An apex court bench headed by Chief Justice H.L. Dattu rejected Memon’s petition challenging an earlier decision to uphold the death sentence.
