Lucknow: Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has called a meeting of MLAs and MLCs at his residence on Sunday, however, legislators considered too close to state party chief Shivpal Yadav have not been invited for the de-facto legislature party meeting.
According to reports, the meeting is very crucial as it could witness Akhilesh Yadav spelling out his future course of action in the turf war which has erupted between him and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav.
This pre-emptive strike by the Akhilesh camp comes just 24 hours ahead of a similar meet called on Monday by his father and Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in Lucknow.
With both sides digging in their heels, attempts of reconciliation by the old guard have not yet borne any results.
However, the Shivpal camp alleged that no official meeting of the MLAs and MLCs has been called by the party on Sunday.
Whereas the political pundits see it as a show of strength in the ruling party which clearly seems heading towards a split.
