YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s personal bodyguard Shaikh Basha (35) was electrocuted at Eppatla village in Lingala mandal, 100 km from Kadapa, on Friday afternoon. The incident occured when Basha, who returned from Sharmila’s padayatra three days ago, was trying to string loosely electric wires in front of his house at Eppatla. The wire slipped from his hands and touched a high voltage line, killing him on-the-spot. Lingala police is investigating the case after registering a case. Meanwhile, Sharmila called on his family members to express her deep sorrow over Basha’s death, as YSR family members and Jagan supporters paid their tributes. His family members said that Sharmila has promised to Rs two lalks to the family. PTI
