New Delhi : Chinese electronics company and smart phone maker, Xiaomi Inc, has more than doubled the internet services revenue in 2015 to about USD 564 million.
The Beijing-based firm, which is the world’s fourth largest smartphone maker, is trying to sidestep a slowdown in the world’s largest handset market by coaxing buyers of its smartphones to also purchase internet services, reports Reuters.
Internet services revenue surged 150 percent to 3.71 billion yuan (USD 563.94 million).
Xiaomi designs, develops and sells smartphones, mobile apps, and related consumer electronics. The company has over 8,000 employees, mainly in mainland China, Malaysia and Singapore. The company is expanding to other countries such as India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Brazil. (ANI)
