Hyderabad, December 22: CBSE announced that from the academic year 2012-13, Common Board Examination will not be held by it for X Class. In order to make CBSE autonomous, it had introduced continuous and Comprehensive Education (CCE) scheme.
The purpose of this scheme is to reduce the burden of examination from the students of X Class. CBSE had given an option to the students whether they wanted Board Examination for Class X or not but surprisingly in March 2011 90% of the students opted for Board Examination for X Class. At national level out of 9 lakh students, 6 lakhs opted for X Class Board Examination.
A senior official of CBSE told that the analysis of 2012 exam is being done which would be put on website.
