The 36-year-old, who was out of action after giving birth to daughter Alexis Olympia, had slipped to the 181st position but made a solid comeback in the recently concluded Wimbledon Championship where she ended up as the runner-up.
Meanwhile, German tennis player Angelique Kerber crashed into the top 4 after her extraordinary performance in the Wimbledon where she emerged victorious.
The reigning US Open champion Sloane Stephens has made a jump of one place to secure the third spot in the list.
With no shuffling in the top spot, Simona Halep of Romania has maintained the top ranking with 7571 points.
Players like Julia Georges, Kiki Bertens, Dominika Cibulkova, Camila Giorgi, and Hsieh Su-Wei have also made some notable improvements according to the recently updated ranking list. (ANI)
