Wounded Saudi soldiers found in Yemen: Report

Jazan, November 29: Several Yemeni websites have posted reports of Yemeni forces coming across six wounded Saudi soldiers in Yemeni territory. The websites, which did not specify the names of the soldiers, said they were receiving medical attention in a hospital in Yemen. No official confirmation of the report has come.

The Ministry of Defense and Aviation on Thursday released a list of nine Saudi soldiers who were missing while engaged in the clearing operation of Yemeni infiltrators in the border villages. The soldiers found in Yemen are believed to be among them.

The nine soldiers are Lt. Col. Saeed bin Muhammad Al-Amri, Cpl. Aed bin Ali Al-Shahri, Sgt. Ahmad bin Ali Madadi, Sgt. Muhammad bin Muhsin Al-Amri, Sgt. Ahmad bin Abdullah Al-Amri, Sgt. Mufleh bin Jamaan Al-Shahrani, Cpl. Ali bin Salman Al-Haqwi, Sgt. Khaled bin Saleh Al-Awdah and Lance Cpl. Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Khuzaei.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah made it clear in Mina on Friday that the Kingdom would not allow anyone to encroach on its land.

A recent statement of the Ministry of Defense and Aviation said King Abdullah, the supreme commander, directed all military sectors to clean every inch of Saudi land of infiltrators without touching a single meter of the Yemeni territory.

The ministry denied media reports that the Saudi armed forces were “creeping” their way toward Yemen and said such heinous reports were circulated by parties hostile to both Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

According to a senior official, Saudi planes carried out renewed strikes in the Jabal Dukhan area on Friday, where Yemeni rebels carried out a cross-border incursion earlier this month in which two Saudi border guards were killed.

Meanwhile, Jazan Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Nasser visited the wounded soldiers receiving treatment in the Samita General Hospital on Friday.
