New Delhi, Nov.2 : Reacting to the claims made by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav that Hindus also eat beef, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh on Monday asked whether the former would advise the Muslims to eat pork.
“Lalu Hindu ko Gomans khilate hai. Kya waise hi Muslim ko suar mans khane ki salah denge? Kya Hindustan me Hindu sirf jaleel hone ke liye hai. (Lalu claims that Hindus eat beef. Would he also advise Muslims to eat pork? Are Hindus living in India to be insulted?)” Singh said on Twitter.
The RJD boss had earlier last month stoked a controversy with his remark that Hindus also eat beef and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of “communalising” the nation.
“Poor people eat meat to beat their hunger. Those who go outside (the country) eat beef. Even Hindus eat beef. There is no difference between beef and goat meat. A Muslim was falsely accused in Dadri,” he said while reacting on the Dadri incident.
Lalu, however, later downplayed his remark and said ‘eating meat or beef is not good as it causes diseases’. (ANI)
