Vijayawada, April 10: The Vijayawada Hotel Owners Association on Saturday successfully gained entry into the Guinness Book of World Records by preparing the longest dosa here.
The 38.2 feet-long dosa was longer by almost 6 feet than the previous record – a 32.5 feet-long dosa prepared by Sankalp Restaurant in Mumbai.
The event organised at the Siddhartha College of Arts on the occasion of its golden jubilee celebrations saw the participation of as many as 30 chefs.
The Guinness Book of World Records adjudicator Elizabeth Smith supervised the event and presented the certificate to the association. Praising the team, she described their effort as an example of great team work.
Speaking on the occasion, the association’s golden jubilee celebrations organising committee chairman M Muralikrishna and convener K Pattabhiram said that the achievement will place Vijayawada on the world map of eateries.
