New Delhi: Janata Dal (United) leader Ali Anwar on Tuesday supported the statement of the Archbishop of Faridabad-Delhi Syro-Malabar Church Kuriakose Bharanikulangara stating that the victory of the Grand Alliance in Bihar is a verdict against ‘sectarian politics’ and said the whole world knows that the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is involved in sectarian politics.
“Yes they are indicating the sectarian politics towards the BJP. He (the Archbishop of Faridabad-Delhi Syro-Malabar Church Kuriakose Bharanikulangara) himself having been a victim as BJP and bajrang dal workers as they have been targeting him. The whole world is saying that it was the defeat of sectarian politics. Owaisis , BJP and Sangh pariwar all are involved in sectarian politics,” Anwar told ANI here.
According to a report published in Indian Express, the Archbishop in his pastoral letter written in Malayalam to churchgoers has said there are “apprehensions” that some “ultra-religious fundamentalists have started questioning the very fundamentals of the Indian Constitution”.
The Archbishop has also reportedly said that victory of the Grand Alliance in Bihar is a verdict against ‘sectarian politics’.(ANI)
