World Bank Chief says Pakistan rapidly progressing towards economic growth

World bank President Jim Yong Kim on his first visit to Pakistan, encouraged the economic policies of Pakistan government.

He applauded the government’s efforts on their rapid economic growth while his meet with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq dar in separate meetings held on Tuesday.

Whilst in the meeting he also talked about the importance of focusing forward with economic reforms. Recalling his meeting with Nawaz Sharif two years ago in Washington he says that Pakistan government has successfully stabilized the economy over the three years.

Later in the meeting they also discussed a development policy credit to promote economic reforms.
“Now is the moment for Pakistan to step up to a higher level of growth and opportunity for its people,” said Dr Kim.
