(Siasat News) World Agricultural Forum Congress 2013 and Agritech trade fair will be held in Hyderabad from 4th to 7th November. This meeting is being held in Hitech City for the first time in Asia. State Govt. is making elaborate arrangements for this meeting. So far 33 foreign countries have agreed to participate in the Congress and 247 delegates have confirmed their visit. Mr. K. Laxminarayana, Minister for Agriculture informed this yesterday. He told that the main purpose of this meeting is to make farmers, industrialist to take part in policy making decisions in the field of Agriculture. This will help small and medium farmers.
During this session Govt. of A.P. is organizing Agri Trade Fair. In which national Agricultural Institutes, Agricultural Universities and Agro Industries will participate. 150 stalls will be erected in the trade fair. The farmers can get information, technical knowledge and latest agricultural equipment. More than 5000 farmers will visit the trade fair. The Minister further told that World Agricultural Forum Congress need every (2) years. Till 2009 this Congress was held in America but 2011 it was held in Brussels, Belgium. At the instance of Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy this conference is being held in Hyderabad. Mr. Tariq Anwar, Minister of State for Agriculture will participate in the Congress as a Special Guest.
