Workshop for MBA students held

RK Business School and AV College PG Centre organized a one-day workshop on “Company Analysis using Real time data and MS-Excel” for MBA students and faculty members of various university affiliated colleges at AV College Campus, here. Some 75 students and 20 MBA professors from different colleges attended the workshop.
The workshop was conducted by Dr Rama Krishna Yelamanchili, Director RK Business School and an expert in Financial Analytics. Director, Academic Affairs AV College PG centre Dr Bucha Reddy said the company Analysis using MS-Excel is very helpful to MBA students in getting job. Many companies like Capital IQ, GenPact, Accenture, Deloittee, CapGemini, FactSet comes to college campuses to recruit MBA students, who have good knowledge in company analysis. He hoped the workshop would help the students get good placement.
Dr Rama Krishna Yelamanchili said MBA students must gain thorough knowledge in financial analytics. Big data analytics and financial analytics are going to be the next big things in generating employment opportunities to MBA students. He said the global financial market is worth $ 175 trillion and the big data analytics market is estimated at $19 billion.
According to McKinsey report Financial Analytics and Big Data Analytics Markets are going to create job opportunities for 1.5 million people.
Prof. Sagar Reddy of RK Business School said traditional MBA colleges are giving only theoretical knowledge to their students. In changed business environment, MBA students should have command over software skills like MS-Excel, SPSS, QuickBooks, E-Views, SAS, SAP, and StatPro, MBA students should able to fuse concepts with computers.
