Workshop on effective teaching methods held

Kakinada, April 23: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JTNUK) on Friday conducted a workshop on ‘Effective Teaching Methods.’

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao said that the programme was aimed at making the teachers of the university learn international teaching skills.

“It is essential in the wake of offering international study programmes by the JNTUK. As of now, we are offering such programmes with four foreign Universities – USA-based Central Michigan University, University Canada West, Sweden-based Blenkge Institute of Technology and Bangkok-based Asian Institute of Technology,” he explained.

Exuding confidence that at least 100 foreign students from 10 counties would take up various courses in the JNTUK by August this year, Prof. Rao said that efforts were on to make the teachers of the JNTUK as global teachers by that time.

Organiser of the programme P. Vijay Kumar said that over 80 faculty members of science, engineering and management backgrounds from eight districts turned up for the workshop.

Director (Foreign University Relations) K.V.S.G. Murali Krishna and others were present.
