A rape case occurs in every 20 minutes in India. 80 percent incidents are not registered. In order to ensure help to the victims and to create awareness among women with an aim to reduce such incidents, Hyderabad talks in collaboration with other organisation has decided conduct workshops and awareness programmes.
Addressing a press conference here representative of Hyderabad talks Dr. Aijaz Ali and others said cases of assaults on women are on the rise despite Nirbhaya act; this is because of lack of awareness. Hence they have decided to organize worshops with corporate and other institutions.
Mrs. Sara told that her organization helps the victim of sexual harassment right from filing FIR to fighting the case. Women will be explained the laws and steps to be taken against sexual harassment.
On the occasion self defence experts conducted a mock drill demonstrating techniques of self defence.
