Minister for Information Technology Ponnala Laxmaiah informed the State Legislative Council that it was fact that the underground cable system of 220 KV and 132 KV works have been taken up in GHMC area with the funds of Japanese Bank International Cooperation Agency and Power Finance Corporation.
Replying to a question raised by MLC K R Amos, he categorically stated that it was impossible to complete the works by March 2012. He further stated that AP Transco in consultation with GHMC has taken the 220 KV and 132 KV cable laying works for connecting it to the 220/132 KV sub-stations for improving the reliability of power supply in GHMC area.
