Nalgonda, February 3: Relatives and police of some people who had fainted due to large booming sounds emerging from a power generation plant at Premier Explosives Company Limited at Kandukuru mandal in Yadagirigutta mandal in Nalgonda district lashed out at media for reporting that a bomb explosion had taken place there.
The relatives and police vent their ire at various television channels for releasing scrolling which stated that a massive explosion had occurred in the company and also claimed that some deaths had according.
According to Vijay Bhaskar attached to the Yadagirigutta police station, some factory workers had collapsed due to the unduly huge booming sounds from the factory. They were rushed to a local hospital and their condition was stated to be out of danger.
According to police, the sounds are common in the company as they experiment with chemicals daily. The workers are provided with ear-muffs to quell the deafening noise, the police said. The sounds affected some workers who had not put on their ear-muffs, the police maintained.
The police said no one suffered injuries and the scrolling which appeared on some TV channels were wrong and far from truth.
The workers fainted unable to bear the loud sounds, the police said and added the ears of employees may have been affected due to such loud sounds.
Even the family members of workers criticised the media for scrolling baseless news on the TV channels and asked the reporters to act in a responsible manner.
